MEET SPENCER

Spencer Roach represents House District 76, which includes unincorporated areas of North Fort Myers and Cape Coral in Lee County, as the city of Punta Gorda and Babcock Ranch in Charlotte County, and all of DeSoto County. Spencer proudly served in the United States Coast Guard and retired from military service in 2016 after 20 years of active-duty service an enlisted member a, commissioned officer, and a Judge Advocate.

LEADERSHIP SOUTHWEST FLORIDA DESERVES

Spencer understands the unique issues facing Southwest Florida and is an accomplished advocate for our families and communities.

After Hurricane Ian devastated SW Florida, Spencer spearheaded efforts at the state level to deliver critical hurricane relief. He is now fighting on the frontlines to end the insurance crisis and lower rates for all Florida homeowners while providing critical state funds to local programs.

ON THE ISSUES

EDUCATION

Spencer believes the education system requires serious reform so that our students are properly educated on subjects such as American History and the U.S. Government. In addition, Spencer is a major proponent of school choice and believes that each student and family should have a say in their education. Spencer has a profound respect for the value of learning a trade and believes that there should be a greater focus in trade schools and technical training in High Schools.

CHILD WELFARE

Spencer has consistently stood up for the rights of the unborn and believes in protecting life at all ends of the spectrum. He has fought against Planned Parenthood, worked to end late-term abortions, and even serves as a volunteer foster parent in order to care for the children of our communities who find themselves in the most difficult situations. He believes systematic reform in our adoption and foster care systems will create a system that works for both the children and families involved.

VETERANS

As a veteran himself, Spencer understands the sacrifices the men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces make each and every day. Because of this, Spencer believes it is of the utmost priority that Florida distinguishes itself as the best location for veterans transitioning to civilian life to start a business, raise their family, and buy their first home.

SECOND AMENDMENT

Spencer is a staunch supporter of the 2nd Amendment and has actively fought against attempts by the radical left to take guns out of the hands of law-abiding American citizens. Spencer is the only candidate in the race to have an A rating and an endorsement from the NRA.

ENVIRONMENT

As a career Coast Guard officer, Spencer recognizes that our waterways are both an environmental and economic necessity to our community. However, he has actively fought against socialist policies that seek to destroy small businesses and devastate the economy in the name of environmental reform. Instead, Spencer is committed to finding common sense science-based environmental solutions that are good for business.

JOBS AND ECONOMY

Spencer believes in the power of free-market competition to encourage innovation and keep our economy moving. In Tallahassee, he has fought against overcomplicated government regulations and bureaucratic forces that seek to take money out of the hands of hard-working Floridians. Spencer worked to cut $450 million in taxes and has already pledged not to propose any new taxes on Floridians.
